NY SULLIVAN — Sullivan's Zoning Board denied a 640-percent variance for a metal storage building on Shackleton Point Road, finding the applicant's hardship self-created and risking sprawl of similar requests for structures north of Route 31. Chairman Steve Durfee's board, which included members Michael Keville, Luke Capria, Shawn Hannan, and Derek Joncas, unanimously rejected Gary Cappon's request while approving variances for Michael Bovalino's garage on Conley Road and Sasha Pavlov-Shapiro's lakefront garage on Barrett Lane. Michael and Patricia Bohne's pole barn variance passed 4-1, with Keville opposed.
Three applications were tabled pending Madison County review.
