NY SULLIVAN — Sullivan's Town Board unanimously established the Bridgeport Sewer District Extension following a September 15 referendum that passed 107-93 among property owners. Supervisor Tom Daviau presented the formal resolution on September 16, with the four-member board voting unanimously to approve the $19,337,000 infrastructure project. The resolution set property owner assessments at $1,848 for a typical one-family home and $3,696 for a two-family home, with hook-up costs estimated at $5,000.
Town Attorney John Langey outlined the remaining process: submission to the New York State Comptroller's Office for approval, expected to take six months or longer, with short-term financing anticipated for spring or summer 2027.
