Town Board · Meeting of May 6, 2026

NY SULLIVAN — Sullivan Town Board adopts billboard moratorium, approves fire department expenses. The Sullivan Town Board unanimously established a nine-month moratorium on freestanding billboards and animated electronic commercial off-premises signage, prompted by the absence of existing regulatory standards. The board also unanimously approved $21,685 for Bridgeport Fire Department turnout gear through state bid pricing and $25,215 for replacement overhead doors at Station One, with Chief Ostrowski citing deteriorating 35-year-old equipment.

Landscaping contracts were awarded to Henry's Landscaping for cemeteries, Jake's Landscaping for abandoned properties, and Lynch's Landscaping for Town Hall and Trooper Barracks maintenance. A public hearing on proposed amendments to the flood prevention ordinance was scheduled for June 3 at 6:00 p.m.
