NY SULLIVAN — Sullivan Planning Board denied two special use permit applications at its March 3 meeting. Edward Atkins' request for a 24-foot by 46-foot temporary storage tent at 8964 Green Road failed 2-1, with Chairman Dave Allen and board member Cory Jenner voting against; Atkins remains in Justice Court over the tent's illegal placement. Brent and Melissa Buneo's application to keep six chickens at 152 Washington Avenue was rejected unanimously 3-0, with all three board members voting against the permit based on lot-size constraints in the MR-12 residential district and the pending town-wide moratorium on residential chickens scheduled for a Town Board vote the following day.
